The biggest downgrade in history?! What do you think of the Superman Super Bowl trailer?

The music, the hair, the acting, the pun, the costume... Did WB lose confidence in this Superman movie and pull marketing investment? Is this a joke? TBH, WB, your MKT team SUCKS! “WB's marketing strategy is to admit they don't have enough money to promote Superman at the Super Bowl.” “My God the meltdowns and overreactions I've seen because of this holy s**t.” “This is a real Hollywood movie that cost hundreds of millions of dollars.” “I remember a time when DC movies had top-tier marketing.” Your thoughts?

How did Sam Wilson become the first Black Captain America in the comics?

Sam Wilson is the third Captain America! After Steve Rogers lost his super-soldier serum, he personally chose Sam to carry the shield. Sam’s Cap keeps his Falcon wings while rocking the iconic suit, making him a badass symbol of justice with a fresh new edge! I’m hitting the theater for Captain America: Brave New World! Are y’all hyped for this one or nah?

Paulo talk show: Nah, I don’t think Marvel has the writing chops to make this work, but I’ll wait for the reviews.

What Do You Watch When There's Nothing Else to Watch?

anybody else feel like there's nothing good to watch lately? what are you watching now that you turn on because there's nothing exciting airing or releasing right now? mine is always reality TV as embarrassing as that may be. currently watching The Traitors and Real Housewives of Salt Lake City what about you?

Bob Woolsey: Severance and Mythic Quest are both airing new seasons right now on Apple+. The Skeleton Crew that just wrapped on Disney+ was actually super fun too. But what I watch when there's nothing else to watch is normally sports. Especially when there's no current season of Survivor happening.

Men and Chocolates, Fk Off!

Valentine’s Day is a capitalist farce—plain and simple. Every year, like clockwork, we’re flooded with ads selling us this idea that love can be bought. And the biggest, most hypocritical symbol of this is chocolate. Don’t get me wrong, chocolate’s great, but it’s been co-opted by an industry that’s more about reinforcing outdated gender norms than actually celebrating anything real. The history of Valentine’s Day is a lovely little mix of commercialization, patriarchy, and consumerism, all wrap

LOVE can be HELL: Companion

Companion is the feature film debut of Drew Hancock, it is written and directed by him and stars Sophie Thatcher, who continues his sci-fi genre films and in it the death of a billionaire sets off a series of events for Iris and her friends during a weekend trip to his Lakeside estate that the plot hides quite a bit if you’ve seen the trailer for this movie you know more than that, the trailer definitely hints at some things that I hadn’t seen in the trailer, so I will say that I was the perfect

The Brutalist: A Monument to the Human Soul

TOPISC: Brief Movie Review. The Architect and His Ruins. The Architecture of Cinema. The Philosophy of Concrete. A Building That Is Never Finished In The Brutalist (2024), Brady Corbet doesn’t just invite us to watch a film; he summons us to inhabit a cinematic space where concrete and soul merge in a dance of light and shadow. It is a work that, like the buildings it portrays, stands with an apparent coldness, yet within it harbors an emotional complexity that confronts and moves us. Through th

Recycling or no new ideas?

In the world of entertainment, there is a diversity of genres, qualities, durations and themes for everyone. There are colors for every taste and cinema offers entertainment for everyone. But what happens with the current cinema according to my personal opinion, although more than my opinion I want to raise a doubt. And it is written in the title. The current cinema is using recycled material or it is running out of ideas? my question is raised by the majority of the current content, eye do not

marvelousmars: I don't think that reusing ideas is always a bad thing, because it can offer new perspective into the work. The real issue is when there's no creativity and the original story is clearly just being used because it has fans. If marketability is put before art, it's always a flop.

My favorite movie killers

We all love movies that contain action, assassinations and one man taking out an entire army a la Equalizer, John Wick, Rambo, Chuck Norris, Liam Nesson, among others. And personally I enjoy many of those movies even if they lack a little bit of deep plot. But when you already know the scoop you can't expect to see a movie with a message, just explosions, punches and gunshots. A movie I saw a while ago, making me actually get to know this action and martial arts artist (Iko Uwais) is THE RAID. B

A Bronx Tale (1993): Sonny's Empire

By Rumpelstiltskin For those who know that every deal comes with a cost... Listen closely, dear audience, for I shall tell you a tale of choices and consequences... Set in the Bronx during the 1960s, this story spins a fascinating web around Calogero (Lillo Brancato), a young Italian-American torn between two father figures: his biological father, Lorenzo (Robert De Niro), an honest bus driver, and Sonny (Chazz Palminteri), the charismatic local crime boss. Like all good deals with fate, this on

Mickey 17: A Philosophical Odyssey into Identity and Existence

By Rumpelstiltskin. Ah, my dear mortals, what would you do if death ceased to be the end and became nothing more than a bureaucratic formality? "Mickey 17," the latest masterpiece from the brilliant Bong Joon-ho, dares to explore this idea with the skill of a storyteller who knows that the right questions matter more than the answers. From the very first scene, the film immerses us in a world where humanity has extended its dominion to the farthest reaches of the universe. Our protagonist, Micke

Is There Room for Another Bridget Jones? Turns Out, They Just Keep Getting Better

Are you ready to be ‘cordially’ invited to the next greatest thing since the last royal wedding? Well they're certainly dishing up as much drama, and it's hot off the press! Alright, let’s talk about Bridget Jones' newest instalment, Mad About the Boy. In my opinion its hands down the best movie of 2025... so far, and honestly, the most relatable rom com we’ve had in ages. Why? Because bless her chaotic heart, Bridget isn't living the fairy tale life that Hollywood is trying to sell us; she's li

DOG MAN (2025): The Family-Friendlies Are Cinema, Too!

Have you ever felt that family-friendly movies are underrated? I've noticed how some people in the film community take a hard look at them. Whether it's to indulge their not-so-fans, or to make fun of how "weird" or "cringe" they can be. Honestly, I state that there's a big stigma around them. Audiences aren't exempt from a more objective point of view. Understanding a feature's purpose is necessary, because that's where the identity comes from. So, an opinion will have better support. Many time

Movie Aesthetics UI Analysis: From "E.T." to "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse", film history has repeatedly proved that the most "childish" form can carry the most universal emotions, and the craziest imagination is often the closest to reality. Perhaps, the best tribute to "Dogman" is to be like it - with innocent courage, laugh at all arrogant "maturity". In addition, I also like animated films. I have also written several articles about immersing in them for a day. I feel that it will be very interesting and want to play with them. It is very healing and can make me watch it over and over again to find the details. Thank you for giving me deep thinking and recommending me several good animations. You can also read my articles. Thank you!

Hollywood heartthrobs are faker than Ai and in reality will pop their clogs before their forty at the rate they're going. However, men who take you seriously, never dim your sparkle, or shut down your crazy dreams are the true fantasies we should romanticize! These days, it seems that every woman has a romantic fantasy involving some fictional character who is either brooding in uniform, smouldering on horseback, or spewing irresistible one-liners. Amy Dunne, the enigmatic protagonist of Gillian Flynn's "Gone Girl," is introduced as a beautiful and intelligent woman, seemingly the epitome of a desirable partner. "Memoir of a Snail": The Poetic Melancholy of Adam Elliot

In 2024, the Australian directorAdam Elliot, renowned for his emotive and unique animated stories like "Mary and Max," presented "Memoir of a Snail." This work, crafted in his characteristic stop-motion animation style, offers a profound exploration of the human condition. The film's plot is loosely inspired by Elliot's own life, and perhaps you will feel as reflected and moved by it as I did. Captain America Brave New World: saved by its set pieces

The truth is I was quite expecting this movie, “Civil War” and “Falcon and The Winter Soldier” seem to me to be the best movie and series of the UCM respectively (if we don't count Daredevil), but I was a little disappointed in the plot. The Capitan productions had been raising very interesting questions such as how much freedom can be sacrificed for security, if superheroes should be regulated, if countries should have much more flexible borders, etc., but this new installment did not follow th

POV: You're Black in a Jim Crow Era Reform School

Nickel Boys is a painful, unenjoyable, important watch. It will not fill you with hope. It will not make you laugh. It made a few people in the theatre's predominantly white audience cry. It is brutal. It's about trauma, racism and institutional abuse, and how difficult it is to cope with traumatic memories. These themes make Nickel Boys a tough movie to talk about, although there's a lot to discuss. The one thing you might already know about Nickel Boys is that it's shot entirely in a first-per

The Allure of Wonder Woman – A Character I Want to Meet

As someone who has always been fascinated by strong, independent women in cinema, there’s one character that stands out above the rest—Diana Prince, also known as Wonder Woman. Played brilliantly by Gal Gadot in the DC Extended Universe films, Diana is not just a superhero; she's an embodiment of grace, strength, and unwavering hope. If I were given the chance to meet any fictional character from a movie, it would undoubtedly be her. Here’s why. Diana was born on the mystical island of Themyscir
