The new formula to sell us movies and series... silly but it works

I, like many people, do not consider myself a film critic, but I do have my own opinion, when it comes to the world of entertainment. And in this article I would like to reflect in my opinion the approach that the cinema is taking and its strategy to sell in an “easy” way its content. The cinema and television has been evolving as the years go by, offering us products of much better visual quality, like the moment of launching Avatar (movie that its visual quality surprised everyone), but, has t

Innis: I totally get that vibe too, Hollywood's gotten lazy, and these big institutions just want to keeping the money-making formula instead of embracing innovative attempts. On the flip side, I feel like the gaming industry is still exploring new ways to create better products, and the best games are getting more cinematic, whether it's in storytelling, music, or art, they're moving closer to that movie-like quality. I'm curious, what's your take on the convergence of games and movies?

Gone Girl: Amy Dunne and the Dark Side of Love

Introduction In the beginning, Amy looks more submissive and innocent. Amy Dunne, the enigmatic protagonist of Gillian Flynn's "Gone Girl," is introduced as a beautiful and intelligent woman, seemingly the epitome of a desirable partner. However, beneath this polished surface, she harbors a significant and disturbing secret. As the film unfolds, her personality is revealed to be that of a calculating sociopath, driven by a chilling thirst for revenge. Her meticulously orchestrated steps, execute

Ana Maria Herrera Orjuela: What a fascinating article, full of analysis, emotions and mainly narrative skill. Thank you for sharing it. If you agree, I would like you to read and like mine: In Spanish: Viola Davis: Un Legado de Autenticidad y Poder en la Pantalla Grande English: "The Odds": A Descent into Human Depravity

Clutching Her Black Furs: Bianca Censori

I saw images of the Kanye West controversy on the carpet, showing off his new toy thing. Obviously, the first thing I felt after my initial discomfort was rage. Bianca Censori looks positively uncomfortable, if not frightened, clutching her black fur coat as if her life depends on it. Then, there's Ye, all stoic and shadowy in the back, and maybe this performance is not a surprise, seeing the reputation he's curated for himself-- the problem is that you can sense his domination. She is not in co

What's the Best Movie to Ever Win Best Picture?

We are in the heat of Oscar season and it has me wondering: What's the best movie to ever win best picture? I made a list of all the winners, so you don't have to. You can find it here: https://www.peliplat.com/en/list/collection/10071697/academy-award-for-best-picture-winners When I look at this list, three movies stand out as the best: The Godfather, Rocky, No Country For Old Men. There are a lot of great ones though. I wonder, what do you think is the best movie (or top 3) to ever win best picture?

Timothy Knight: Chicago and The Sound of the Music.
