What Went Wrong with Squid Game Season 2?

Three years of waiting, three years of fan theories and speculation, and three years of hoping that Netflix’s biggest Korean hit could return with a bang. But when Squid Game Season 2 finally landed, it wasn’t the triumphant return fans were anticipating. Instead, it’s a case of high expectations meeting a steep decline. Sure, there are still games, betrayals, and the signature eerie tension, but something vital is missing. Let’s get straight to the point: the games themselves. In Squid Game Sea

Ishika Banerjee: Really fun article!!I love Squid Game 2 for expanding from the 1st season but I also understand people's frustration towards the issues.

Squid Game But Not Really But Also It's Squid Game

Squid Game Season 2 is here, and I’ve got feelings. Lots of feelings. The title of this piece? It’s not just a clever play on words—it’s the vibe of this whole season. Because while this is definitely "Squid Game," it also isn’t. Let’s backtrack. The first season was a razor-sharp critique of capitalism and class inequality, wrapped up in a bloody, bingeable package. It was haunting, thought-provoking, and, honestly, just plain excellent. It became Netflix’s biggest hit ever, breaking records an

Ishika Banerjee: I agree that there's definitely a factor missing, but I looked at it as mostly positive. I think repetitive commentary on capitalism and greed has become entirely oversaturated and was already done in the first season. If they had tried to reiterate that, the show would seem a bit lazy, at least for me. I think this season takes a different route, exploring wealth through social, gender, family, and friendship dynamics, which was more intriguing and interesting to me—especially as an expansion on their previous season as opposed to repetitively exploring the same ideas in a surface-level way. I mean, look at Gi-Hun, who is a starkly different character than he was in season 1 and a person who has to navigate the games and the new people he meets in an entirely different way. I loved the last season for introducing the complexities of wealth disparity, and I love this season for taking it a bit further in a different direction. Thanks for sharing your article! I liked it :)

A dubbing conspiracy?

This isn't about the (honestly overdone) sub vs dub debate! I was on Reddit the other day and read a weird conspiracy about the new season of Squid Game : that the dubs are intentionally bad. The idea was that by making a really bad dub, people would go online to talk about it, making it a “trending topic” on various social media sites. To be honest, I don't know if I buy it… but then again, I haven't watched the new season, so I was wondering what people here might think. Do you think Squid Game's dubs are deliberately bad? And do you think any other shows are doing the same?

Ishika Banerjee: I watched all of Squid games in Sub for this reason, but for some reason, they decided to hire really bad American actors for the English dialogue (when the rich people watch the games.) I think they think we won't notice just because they are American and talk in English. But because the Korean actors were so phenomenal it was exceptionally obvious to me. I don't know why a lot of foreign films do this.

Juego calamar nos deben el episodio 8

@cesar#love.movie: Jajaja. Muchos pensamos eso. Pero evidentemente a parte de que la serie se vió incompleta al parecer es porque continuarán la historia en la tercera temporada
