Challengers is Slutty, Intense, Magnificent

Why is tennis so damn sexy? Is it the outfits? Is it the heat from the overbearing sun beating down on sweaty, outstretched bodies? Is it the phallic nature of bouncing balls and swinging racquets? Maybe it comes from the innate tension created from the space between opponents. Or, to quote Zendaya's Tashi Duncan in Challengers, is it because tennis is not a game at all, “it's a relationship"? I have to give props to Gia Coppola, because this film is incredible in many aspects. The dialogue, the characters, the production design are the things that I loved the most. Everything was a great representation and reflection about the message that this film wanted to portray. HOWEVER. I do not agree with the choices made framing and focus wise. I will never be a fan of soft focus. Maybe, if you are racking. But as a choice? No. I am sorry but that is a hard no for me. I do not understand how
