It's been four centuries since the slave trade dispersed Africans across Europe and America and many generations are yet to rediscover their roots and ancestry. "Coming to Africa" The Yoruba Experience, introduces fifteen people of African descent through the eccentricity of Lagos and her rich Yoruba culture. Show tasks will celebrate the African culture and provide opportunities for the contestants to explore through multiple human interactions as they traverse the city of Lagos, the slave city of badagry and the ancient city of Ife. Certain tribes are accustomed to certain crafts in certain parts of Lagos. For example, the Igbos sell electronics, automobile parts, etc. while Hausas trade vegetables and potatoes, etc. Contestants will have the opportunity to interact with these people, and tribes as part of their experiences for the show. The show will interest a wide range of viewers as they join the contestants on their quest for a deep cultural connection and ethnic experience. At the end of the show, viewers in the Diaspora will have a sense of identity, connect with our cultural and feel the uniqueness that lies in the African experience.
