The multi-talented Actress, Model, and Producer Diamond Oyinade Sonpon was born on Aug 26 and lives in Atlanta Georgia, United States. She attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia studying filmmaking and Fashion design in 2003 and a BS in Health System Management. The award-winning triple-threat actress fell in love with films and everything around them from a very young age in West Africa, Liberia. Through her talents, she aims to encapsulate life moments through films and tell the rich stories of her African Culture. Moreover, Diamond Sonpon seeks to tell stories about human struggles, pains, insecurities, evil, and greatness. She started her career in film as an actress landing a lead role in her first film "The Blessed Cures" and "Black Widow" with Nollywood Actor Kalu Ikeagwu. After numerous acting gigs, she open her production company in 2017. She produced her first award-winning short film, "Wallet" which went viral in 2020 with eleven million views and counting. She moves on to producing Mr. & Mrs. Sonpon, winning best actor at the Liberian Entertainment Awards 2020 and Best Producer at the Universal Film Awards 2020. The new filmmaker produced the first Feature film "The Bachelor Party" premiere soon. She has worked with Hollywood Director Mark Harris in his latest film "Hyde Park" and Tyler Perry Studio in "Madea Homecoming". Later that year the actress set for the metropolitan city of Lagos, Nigeria and produced her first Nollywood series titled "Diamond vs Lagos" which featured several Nollywood actors like Mr. Macaroni, Mc Lively, Kie Kie, Viper the wiper, Officer Woos, etc. The actress portrays an American woman who visits Lagos and Mets many different characters of Lagos as she finds a home in the hustle and bustle of Lagos, Nigeria. Diamond Sonpon has a unique perspective on filmmaking, acting, and bringing a plethora of emotions onto everything she touches. Diamond Sonpon seeks to leave an impact on the entertainment industry and in the hearts of many. Currently, she has set on a journey to Produce first of its kind an African Culture Adventure reality television show titled "Coming to Africa" The Yoruba Experience. The show has been endorsed by the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Lagos State Governor, and His Excellency Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II Ooni of Ife. She has teamed up with Nollywood Film Director and Producer Chris Odeh and many more. The very anticipated show is to air worldwide soon. Diamond Sonpon shows no sign of slowing down and it's very exciting to see what else this young and talented Actress and Producer will do next.
