Lawmen: Bass Reeves (2023)

This is the story of Bass Reeves, one of the first african americans to become sheriff west of the Mississippi River. He went from suffering from slavery to being a law enforcement authority, earning a reputation; still, he had to face the weight of his role and see how it impacted his beloved family. A thrilling western with incredible characters and strong performances by Dennis Quaid and David Oyewolo, as well as an excellent screenplay. If you like westerns, then you shouldn't miss it.
