The postal detectives are put to the test when they seem to be unable to deliver a damaged letter from a military veteran that's a matter of life and death. Oliver and his father Joe embark on a father-son bonding adventure that ends up putting both their lives at risk.

In this prequel to the series, old-fashioned gentleman Oliver O'Toole's well-oiled team for lost letters is accidentally joined by ambitious Internet age postal Shane McInerney. They bond over the tragic case of a couple in the making. A year ago, charming law firm office boy Charlie quit his demeaning dogsbody job after falling in love at first sight with Kelly. She accepted to spend a perfect day with him, yet refused to meet again. As the team traces the couple's year since, tragedy is found for both, yet they hope to help them get together, or at least prevent suffering a tragic injustice.

When the beloved quartet of postal detectives- Oliver (Mabius), Shane (Booth), Rita (Lowe) and Norman (Gustafson)-discover an urgent letter written to God, they delay their own travel plans to help a little girl who's mother's life hangs in the balance on Christmas Eve. With guidance from a mysterious post office volunteer, Jordan (Estes) and Oliver's former Sunday School teacher (Ross), the Postables are surprised to discover they've been a part of more than one miracle on this Christmas Eve.

The Postables---Oliver, Shane, Rita, and Norman return to explore the mystery of true love as they deliver divorce papers to one couple the same day Oliver's missing wife reappears.

A woman requests a letter to her ex be retrieved because it contains a valuable lottery ticket. Meanwhile Oliver and Shane struggle to navigate their new romance; and Norman and Rita encounter a rough patch in their relationship.

The POstables are on a mission to deliver a soldier's letter from Afghanistan to a teenager who's being relentlessly bullied, while Oliver's estranged father surprises him with news that shakes him to his core.

The DLO postals give testimony before a closed Congressional committee regarding an American soldier missing in action and presumed dead whose daughter they met previously. At the same time Rita participates in the national Miss Special Delivery pageant.

The long-awaited wedding of Norman and Rita leads the postal detectives to a letter with clues about a young woman's missing mother.

While preparing for their wedding, Shane and Oliver help a young boy fighting leukemia reunite with his long-lost friend; Rita and Norman deal with the challenges of trying to start a family.
