The Reason We Fall in Love (2024)

This story, set in an office, portrays the sweet yet frustrating "pure love" between six adults. Kikuchi plays Tomonari Kurosawa, a 33-year-old manager in the sales department, while Kumada portrays Aoi Morita, Kurosawa's subordinate who is in her third year at the company. Kurosawa is a quiet type who doesn't show his emotions much. He's a character who has kept his distance from love, seeing it as something that could spark troublesome conflicts in his personal relationships. Because of his direct way of speaking, he's often mistaken for being cold, but in reality, he's a warm-hearted man who cares deeply for others, including his subordinates. Morita is tall, which has led to an inferiority complex about her height. As a result, she struggles with confidence and is shy when it comes to love. As Morita begins to notice Kurosawa's subtle kindness and thoughtfulness, she gradually finds herself attracted to him.
