In 1997, the Moore Park Sydney Showground held its final ever Royal Easter Show. This documentary series takes us back over 25 years to revisit that Show, to see and hear the sights and sounds of a classic and nostalgic part of Sydney's history. Meet the people who brought us the Show, see the show-goers and listen to the cows and sheep as they bleat and moo their memories of a bygone time. Highlights include re-experiencing the exciting rides, discovering the origins of the early Show and meeting the RAS CEO, Colin Sanders. We'll also hear about Sir Francis Suttor and Sir Samuel Hordern and the parts they played in establishing the Show as we know it. And then there's the astounding agricultural displays and a vast array of colorful people who make up the exciting character of the Show. We'll also discover the hidden parts of the old Show tucked away and awaiting discovery by modern day archaeologists. It's history, it color, it's excitement and it's the wonderful human stories that lie behind the Royal Easter Show - Australia's greatest ever annual event.
