Samara is an impatient, bold Vietnamese-Cambodian-American girl who is determined to show her independence and drive as a college-dropout. On her quest for validation she has to sort out her new lifestyle, relationships, and prove to her immigrant mother she has what it takes to succeed. Pressure makes diamonds. Or crushes them. Partnered with 3 Left Handed Women and El Ride Productions, Ambitious is a 6 episode drama-comedy that is currently in production. Not only did it receive a $25,000 grant from Independent Public Media Foundation, but Ambitious was also awarded the 2022 Sundance COLLAB and TAAF Fellowship, and it was highlighted in various industry outlets, such as Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Deadline, and IndieWire.
