1st Rhode Island (2023)

With revolution on the horizon, a band of Rhode Islanders prepare for war by forming a militia line infantry regiment to combat British forces in New England. To fill their regimental quota, Rhode Island's Congress opens recruitment to Native Americans and free men of color to enlist- sparking controversy within and beyond Rhode Island's militia. African-American men in the regiment must combat prejudice in a growing war led by slave owners to gain independence from Great Britain.
