Life of Russian tsarina Elizabeth, an illuminated ruler, patron of the arts and cultural institutions, daughter of the great Peter the great. The series presents life at the Russian court of the tsar, the beautiful tsarina courted by numerous suitors after her throne, and her struggle to prove that a woman can handle the grips of an Empire so vast and diverse like the Russian empire. A man world in terms of rulers of the 18th century, yet she proves that women tsarinas can bring even more cultural and innovation to their country. Superb series, the actress manages to emerge the viewer into the world of the movie.
