Sira zona (2021)

"The Grey Zone" is a dramatic melodrama that reveals the problem of the mental confrontation between the East and the West of Ukraine, which has moved from the everyday level to the political and worldview level. A young doctor from Lviv, a former member of the ATO with the call sign Chuma, goes to a village in the "gray zone" to meet his virtual love, Iryna. The "girl from the correspondence" turns out to be a mother of many children, whom her husband, a soldier in the ORDLO formations (Occupied territories of Ukraine), is trying to return to Donetsk by force. A disappointed Chuma is about to go home, but the village is closed for quarantine due to the illness of Iryna's son with diphtheria. Accepted by Irina and the locals at bayonets, the "fiance" is forced to stay. His medical professionalism and patriotism will be put to extreme tests.
