Sam and Colby: The Paranormal (2015)

Occasional sexual references.

Sam, Colby and the guests they bring are always very sexually explicit with the ghosts and even their jokes. Certain jokes are so bad that they have been accused of fraudolence and sexual harm.

Ocassional uses of sexual jokes that focus on either boobs, holes, (butts or asses), gayness and lgbtq. All these jokes are used frequently and while not in graphic wordship or reference, some are explicit in both showing, referencing and even graphic.

The old XPLR era had some graffiti that had boobs. Graphic and explicit in all kinds.

The content is comparable to Bojack Horseman. It is shown, referenced and used frequently but while it is not overly excessive everytime and it is mostly presumed, some stories, acts and scenes do use these in graphic manners. Although the quantity and power of this is suprising in a show like this, it is not the worst.

Throughout the show, images of injuries from people are shown, usually marks, swellings, scratches, black eyes, kicks, and/or grabbing. Violent descriptions of murders and deaths and disturbing imagery is shown.

In multiple episodes, violent acts are described in graphic manners. Including hanging, murder, self harm and all you can think of, is shown and used graphically in all remarks. Certain episodes of the spin-offs and main show use images and graphic getty like clips to show and display a detail of how this scene played out. In all remarks, this is shown graphically, disturbingly and in all sense of the word, brutally.

Certain episodes of the franchise display a graphic overhaul of dark and brutal history, some even being based around a famous crime/killing. If the subject of the episode is about a brutal and famous death, the subject material and presence is both dark and disturbing.

Self harm is sometimes shown in the franchise, regarding either a suicide, slaps, blood or even a description of a brutal death.

To whoever is squeamish and is nauseatic to violence very easily, whether it's told or shown.... AVOID THIS SHOW AT ALL COSTS! It will only make it worse.

Throughout the show, there are barely any uses of alcohol, drugs, and smoking. They are only mention when they are talking about history but some of the friends do joke around about having alcohol while filming.

Certain times, the team acts and jokes about doing some drugs.

Certain stories display drug abuse, alcohol abuse and smoking abuse, although not graphic, it is displayed in a pretty crude maner.

Colby Brock is a vaper.

Throughout the beginning 4 seasons, it was pretty mild, some scary stuff do happen but nothing serious. However, from season 5 and onward, the intensity in the scares and unnerving scenes that lean into both the paranormal side and the murder and torturous side increase exponentially as time goes on. It would not be ideal to show anyone that has a problem with those certain types of scenes.

To whoever is afraid of the paranormal, is cristian, loves God and believes in it, is afraid of dark magic, curses and satanism, stay away! This show contains a lot of dark scenes that contain references to satanism, vampires, dark magic, malevolent spirits, disbelief in religion and god itself, social crisis of life and it's meaning, depression and even torture and prostitution. It is not ideal for audiences under 18+.

If you watch the show from beginning to end, (including the spin-offs), the story you form begins to make sense and what you figure out is a tale that you will wish to keep for the rest of your life. At that, a traumatic and life changing one.

Certain scenes show the team in peril and fighting against real and dangerous situations.

The re-telling of history, showcase of violent murder and torture, prostitution, satanism and depression in some episodes may and IS VERY unstable for MOST audiences.

In the Urban era, the feeling of peril and danger is high and unstable in certain episodes. As they can contain police chases and hideouts, a feeling of loneliness and sadness or maybe, guilt.

Season 5 to 8 include very dark, serious and realistic depictions of depression, a feeling of wasted potential, a tale that features peril, darkness and fear in all corners and a tale to tell all it's tales of true horror beauty.

In conclusion: Whoever is afraid, squeamish or alerted by presences of dark imagery, disturbing history, peril, police chases, a way too real depiction of danger, sadness and midlife crisis, disbelief in god and religion, satanism, war and the paranormal in itself, it is not recommended to experience a single amount of this show, as it is one of and if not the darkest and most horrifying piece of TV media in the world.
