During the execution of a combat mission, Dedov's squad is ambushed, and the fighters miraculously manage to survive. In one of the enemy soldiers killed, Dedov's colleague recognizes his former neighbor: he has a tattoo on his wrist with the symbol of the Russian underground fascist organization. Looking at him, Dedov recalls that in his youth he almost went to prison because of a fight in which his former friend Vasily Tkachenko dragged him into. Tkachenko later went to prison for murder, and Dedov chose a different path for himself. Dedov returns home and gets a job as an instructor in the military-patriotic club "Rodina". Vova Gruzdev, a pupil of the club, tells Dedov that his friend, Vadim Linkov, got involved in crime. Vadim's mother drinks, his father died in prison, and the guy makes a living by stealing cars. Dedov decides to re-educate the guy and offers Gruzdev to invite Linkov to the club. Meanwhile, Molt fights with his mother's drinking buddies, runs away from home and steals another car. The next day, a precinct officer comes to the Rodina club with an orientation to search for Linkov. Dedov sees that the guy has the same tattoo on his wrist as the deceased enemy fighter.
