Zoe Strannek is a typical 13-year-old girl who loves her friends, tries to navigate the tricky waters of middle school, and thinks her biggest problem is surviving another day without embarrassing herself. But everything changes when the bracelet her dad gave her suddenly starts flashing and emitting lasers all around her room. Moments later, a small, purple alien named Ulav crashes into her life with news that shatters her world: her dad wasn't just a barista at Starbucks-he was Agent 202, a top-secret space agent for the Intergalactic Agency (IA). Now that her dad has gone missing at the edge of the universe, Zoe finds out that she's the rightful heir to his legacy as Agent 203. But with great power comes great responsibility-and a lot of weirdness. The bracelet has sent out a signal, alerting the sinister General Gore, an alien warlord who's been hunting for it to escape his imprisonment in the terrifying Zerospace dimension. Zoe must now learn the ropes of being a spy, train with her alien mentor Ulav, and keep her mission a secret from everyone-except for her friends. Zoe realizes she can't do this alone. She recruits her two best friends, Quigley and Rock, to help her on her intergalactic adventures. Together, the trio faces off against the diabolical General Gore, his cyborg minion Hugh (who complicates things by developing feelings for Zoe), and other bizarre alien threats. Amidst all the action, Zoe also navigates typical teen issues like crushes, school dances, and trying to avoid detention. As she grows into her role as Agent 203, Zoe becomes determined to uncover the truth about her dad's disappearance-and what being a hero really means.
