On April 9, 1948. Lawyer and charismatic leader Jorge Eliécer Gaitán was assassinated outside the building where he had his office. His followers, enraged by what happened, took over the city in a riot that reduced a large part of the Colombian capital to ashes in an event known as "El Bogotazo." 36 years after the events happened, producer Eduardo Lemaitre and director Jorge Alí Triana reconstruct the events of that fateful day with a large cast of renowned Colombian actors in a miniseries based on real events and documented testimonials that will captivate Colombian audiences.
