Virgil Pinkley, editor and publisher of the Los Angeles Mirror daily newspaper, serves as moderator in this weekly 30-minute talk show that addresses controversial and cultural topics of the day. Guests range from film and television celebrities discussing the quality and the censorship of movies to politicians debating the effectiveness of the United Nations in a post-war America. Most politicians, scientists and media personalities were based in Los Angeles and often addressed hot local issues, including juvenile gangs and air pollution. The television show was a joint collaboration between NBC and its Los Angeles affiliate, KNBH. The show later moved to CBS and its affiliate KNXT.
