Every year, for four days, Brazilians take a break from reality and fully live their fantasies. For the world, this is the representation of racial tolerance, sexual freedom, cordiality and artistic exuberance. But in reality, Brazil is an inequitable, racist, sexist, classist and violent nation. Proof of this are its alarming rates of femicide: every four minutes there are reports of aggression against women. Carnival is the link of our ten stories inspired by real events told by different points of view culminating at the same time. With stories from both the past and present, these revelations show the contradictions of a people as it tackles feelings and conflicts that are universally shared.
