Susanna Lira

Susanna Lira is a brazilian documentarist that focus on themes like human rights, politics and violence. She is known for documentaries like Mataram Nossos Filhos (2016), Legítima Defesa (2017), Torre das Donzelas (2018) and creating and directing the series Rotas do Ódio (2018), produced by Universal Channel. Susanna Lira was born in Rio de Janeiro in february, 1975. She is post-graduated on Human Rights. She won several awards, including Best Documentary and Best Directing in the important Festival do Rio, in 2018, for her film Torre das Donzelas, in which she interviews women who were imprisoned and tortured in the brazilian military dictatorship while asking them to rebuild the tower in which they were jailed.
