Summer 2009, Estonia. While the Kurms are spending their annual holidays in their summer house by the lake, the family is struck by a tragedy: Tanel, 2 years old, is killed by a gunshot. Emil, a 12-year-old neighbour, is blamed for the death of the child. Summer 2021, Saaremaa. 12 years after the tragedy, the family receives a threatening anonymous letter. In Saaremaa resort where they are enjoying their holidays, they come across a man that looks just like Emil. Is it really Emil? What is he doing there? What if he was wrongly accused of Tanel's death and came to retaliate against the family?
