The River (2018)

The River tells of two communities divided by a river that separates the rich and the poor in Pretoria, set against the backdrop of South Africa's diamond mining industry. Lindiwe Dlamini-Dikana kills Thato Mokoena for the diamond he discovered in order to keep her mine afloat and prevent her family from losing everything. Unknown to her, Lindiwe sets in motion a tragic set of events and brings to the surface a gripping secret that will turn the world upside down for the Dlamini and Mokoena families.
