Berlin's Ku'damm in 1963. The somber 1950s are over. The colors are gaudier, fashion and music are more international and John F. Kennedy makes his historic visit. But they have become more courageous in their fight against these constraints and against the ever-present attempts by their mother Caterina to control them. The energy that erupted into the student protests in the late 1960s can already be felt here.
