Top 5 (2019)

"Top 5" is the story of a college freshman named Diana entering her first year at Jemison College and encountering a group of juniors at her coffee shop job who are all working hard in their own lane but collaborate and make things happen. Diana was used to a world where black women who were successful were always compared and put against each other. Her high school career she was always surrounded by envious friends who were not seeing the same results as her and could not handle her success. Chloe, Tierra, Alexus, Imani, and Shanice were breaking these norms, while Chloe was the social media mogul, Tierra was student body president maintaining her 4.0 gpa, Alexus was at the forefront of fighting for human rights, Imani's outgoing personality made her an easy pick for Miss Jemison College, and Shanice's entrepreneurial spirit took her business to unbelievable heights. These girls shun bright in their own light but come together and are unstoppable. Diana is brought into their lives after her work goes viral and they hire her to film their vlog style reality show. Diana instantly agrees and is brought into the whole new world of the boogie, upperclassmen, HBCU lifestyle. She attends happy hours, brunches, and is always in awe of how the Top 5 is never not runway ready. Through the drama, trials and tribulations encountered by Diana and the Top 5 themselves, Diana learns that although their perfect looking lives are not so perfect deep down they have each others backs before anything and that is what truly makes them unbreakable.
