The Narrow Road to the Deep North (2025)

As a Japanese prisoner of war forced to work on the Thai-Burma railway, medical officer Dorrigo Evans is haunted by the memory of his affair with his uncle’s wife, Amy. Thoughts of it both sustain and torment him as he spends his days trying to preserve life in a world beset by death. This adaptation of Richard Flanagan’s eponymous, Man Booker Prize-winning novel follows Dorrigo’s life over the span of several decades as he moves from being a soldier to prisoner, to returned war hero, to esteemed surgeon and reluctant celebrity.
