Surviving Summer (2022)

Season 1: Kissing between teenagers, lots of teens in bathing suits, but nothing explicit in the slightest.

Several teens are seen kissing at a party (m/f and f/f couples).

In season 2, a girl walks in on a boy doing breathing exercises (while squeezing stress balls). She says "sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt your ball squeezing"

The main character walks into a room at a party to find a couple kissing. The boy asks her if she wants to join them.

Ari's sister tells him to keep his bedroom door ajar while his girlfriend is over.

A teen couple is seen talking and another boy says "maybe they want a private room tonight."

Poppy's nipples can be seen through her shirt during a party.

Season 2: Several scenes with teens in bathing suits. Girls show cleavage or other revealing clothing. Boys are seen shirtless, mostly while at the beach or pool. Teen girls pose in swimsuits for a photoshoot.

Mild language including what the hell and ass in season 1. A bit stronger language in season 2 douche is used once in one of the season 2 episodes when a man tells another man "don't be such a douche" also damn, goddamn, and son of a bitch are used in season 2 as well as implied s words and f words. Should have received a TV-14 rating.

While the F word is not used audibly in the show, it is seen written in the subtitles to relay the title of a background song. Some bad language for a PG rated series though with words such as Goddamn, son of a bitch, and asshole being used.

In season one there is a scene where summer says ass.

None in season 1. However, season 2 has some substances including wine, liquor, and margaritas.

A little underage drinking at parties.

A background song's lyrics talk about "my weed" and being high.

Flashback of an accident causes panic attacks in a teen that can be frightening to young kids. Teen girl gets caught up in turbulent waters. In one episode a fire emerges from a grill and causes a big explosion causing the hut to be set on fire.

There is a great deal of contention between a teenager and her mother (who is usually out of town).

Throughout season 2 a jealous girl commits several malicious acts to ruin another girl's life (while smiling and pretending to be her friend). The effects on the victim's life can be stressful to watch.

Teenagers often break rules, sometimes also breaking the law. A few times this involves property damage.
