While the film is about trying to solve a murder, any description of that murder is done in a cartoon-style that makes it less frightening than a reinactment or pictures from the crime scene would have.

The whole film centers around the black market marijuana industry. Constant exposure to the growing fields, discussion of smoking substances including heavier things like crystal meth, and the violence surrounding the drug trade.
