Zaman Al Wasel (2002)

The series highlights a brilliant era in Arabic history when Qurtoba, which was then the capital of Andalusia, the pearl of the world and the beacon of civilization, was the backdrop of the hot events, which were taking place as a result of the compelling challenges and threats Andalusia was facing including both internal seditions aimed at shaking its pillars and weakening its unity and external threats aimed at its elimination and subjugation. The Umayyad State in Andalusia with its capital Qurtoba was at the peak of its cultural prosperity. Qurtoba had withstood and overcome the fiercest challenges, armed with the same values and principles it was founded on, and of which the most prominent were intolerance and amalgamation into one country, able to embrace differences and merge them into a melting pot of unity and brotherhood.
