Spotlight Arts (2016)

Spotlight Arts is a documentary special following a middle school rock band, and high school dance troupe, as they prepare for the biggest performance of their lives. Los Angeles Unified School District produced the biggest arts festival ever put on by a public school district in April of 2016. This film follows the story line of the district Arts Education Branch as they prepare for the biggest event they've ever attempted. It also follows two student performance groups from the inner city, as they prepare for a performance that will change their lives forever. This is a first hand look at the power of arts education.
