The series often has slapstick violence, but infrequently has graphic violence. When graphic violence does happen, it is very bloody.
In one episode, David gets angry at another character and strikes an upper cut at him, no blood shown, he gets up, and David gets a chair and goes to hit him on the head with it, but the impact is cut off by the credits.
At the beginning of the second episode, Quartermaster is seen disposing of a human body which is covered in blood. Later in the episode, Quartermaster impales a squirrel with his hook hand and blood gushes out, Quartermaster and his hook hand are covered in blood for the rest of the episode.
In one episode, a character gets stabbed in the eye with a fork and blood flows out. Played for laughs. On subsequent appearances, she wear an eyepatch.
One character is frequently beat up and tortured by the wilderness throughout the episode "The Forest." He is attacked by a wolf and sustains some very bloody injuries that last the entire episode. Later the wolf is impaled by a tree and mauled by a bear which causes it to bleed out and die. This is probably the most bloody episode to date.
There is a lot of mild violence such as characters punching, slapping or otherwise physically harming each other, usually without injury.
There is occasionally some discussions about death. Some minor characters, background characters, and animals die onscreen or are implied to have died offscreen. Sometimes it's a violent and bloody death.
In the season 3 premiere, Quartermaster brutally beats up David and Gwen at the end of the episode.
Animals, on more than one occasion, are violently killed with blood being shown. Characters do fight but no blood is shown and it's often for comedy. In season 2, a character falls down a cliff and is attacked by bears (he survives however)
