FADE IN: INT. ART'S KITCHEN - DAY Sam sits at kitchen table looking at a small portable television set, on the table, as Art enters kitchen. ART The cable is still out, you getting anything on that portable set? SAM Just a couple of emergency broadcasting channels with blank screens.I'm watching a government access channel but it keeps fading in and out. ART What are they talking about? SAM Nothing new...see? Close on screen of small portable television set on kitchen table. Three person panel discussion show on government access channel. PANELIST#1 ...and not only must everyone avoid anyone acting or moving strangely. They must, for their own protection, notify authorities of the death of anyone in their household or, for that matter, any deaths they are aware of... Art, putting on a denim jacket, walks to and picks up a shotgun, leaning against the wall. ART No local news broadcasts. That's not good. SAM They were on yesterday... ART Yea, yesterday. Alright, let's go try to pick up some supplies. Maybe make a few stops. Art walks to an open doorway as Sam stands and puts on denim jacket as she steps top and picks up a second shotgun.
