Aggretsuko (2018)

There is discussion of romance and some mild flirting, but no real sexual content (not even kissing).

Not violent at all aside from a couple of prat falls and some physical humor.

Up to season 3, there are only a few episodes with physical conflict, often comical with no real injury. Blood is minimal and only appears in 2 episodes.

Occasional mild to moderate coarse language: 'shit', 'damn', 'hell', 'ass', (non sexual) 'bitch', 'piss', 'bastard', 'dick' (non sexual) in the English dub and subtitles.

Like most other adult animes, the English dub has profanity thrown left and right more often.

Season 3 features slightly stronger and more frequent language in the English dub than the first two seasons. It features at least two uses of s**t, a character saying "What the 'F'?" song lyrics using the word "dick" in a non-sexual fashion, and in a one very intense scene a character is called a "sl*tyy little c*cktease" by a villainous character.

Adults are seen socially drinking, sometimes resulting in intoxication. Retsuko herself gets drunk on one occasion. However, the consequences of this intoxication, such as bad hangovers/affecting of work performance and memory are realistically depicted.

Some characters are seen smoking.

Characters are frequently seen drinking alcohol at various locations throughout the series, sometimes getting drunk and depicted hungover.

The death metal sequences can spook younger audiences, especially since most of them come out of nowhere.

Despite the screwball comedy, the show can have some really dark and depressing moments and tackles some mature topics like self worth and wondering what the point is in living when your life is putting you down. This stuff is usually saved for the last couple episodes.

Over all, not really meant for the little ones despite what the art style may tell you. There's almost constant swearing, some intense imagery and loud noises with the death metal scenes, and not to mention the mature themes and topics through-out.
