Race to Save the Planet (1990)

Since the beginning of the industrial revolution, the human population has experienced exponential growth, marking a significant impact on the environment. This era witnessed agricultural development, advances in medical sciences, new forms of transportation, and the widespread use of fossil fuels. The debate over whether the rising standard of living comes at the cost of the environment remains ongoing. Given the toll that modern conveniences take, the question arises: What is the fate of our planet? This documentary draws inspiration from the annual State of the World reports published by the Worldwatch Institute. It seeks not only to critique the modern industrialized model and political system but, more importantly, to inform the audience and provide insights on how to help protect the environment.
