Sentimientos ajenos (1996)

Kind young painter Sofia de la Huerta falls in love with Renato Aramendia without knowing that her love will release the anger of her own sister Leonor, or that Renato is a compulsively jealous man. Leonor will stop at nothing to halt the wedding of Sofia and Renato; when she's unable to prevent the wedding, she decides to steal her sister's husband's love--which causes their father's death. When Leonor meets impetuous, passionate Humberto, she pretends to be Sofia. When Renato finds out about the supposed love affair between his wife and Humberto, he kicks her out of the house and separates her from their young son. Confused and hurt from her husband's rejection, Sofia fights to recover what she has lost without knowing that her worst enemy is her own sister.
