Diamant (1993)

Thomas and Hester have been married for 30 years and have three children: Anton, Marion, and Boris. Anton, his father's most-likely successor, is married to Janneke. After a thorough preparation at Nyenrode University, he now works at the top of the company. Marion and Boris still live at their parents' house and experiment with everything their wealthy life has to offer. In their passion for each other they also explore the borders of their brother-sister relationship. The first cracks appear in the family portrait when Thomas starts a secret affair with Eliza, with whom he broke up about 20 years ago. Eliza meanwhile has an adolescent son, Jeroen. When the family comes in the possession of "The Blue Devil" through an unfortunate transaction, misfortune seems to be kept away no longer. This notorious and much too precious diamond has the reputation of bringing bad luck to the owner. The family does everything to get rid of the stone, which is less simple than it seems.
