Alicia Sandoval and Eduardo Fuentes are already married and are happily awaiting the arrival of their first kid. This incites Ofelia, Eduardos mother, to take revenge on Alicia for having taken her son away from her. Carolina and Luis Enrique are very much in love and ready to get married as soon as they finish school. Chole is also happy about the marriage of her daughter, Lupita, to Jacinto, and is eager to hold Alicia's son in her arms. On the other hand, Rosalía, Jacinto's sister, falls in love with a good man named Felipe but is forced to give him up to marry Valerio, the son of a powerful and terrible businessman from La Antigua. Ofelia, determined to separate Alicia from Eduardo, organizes a plot with Leonor Rivas, Alicias doctor, to make Eduardo believe that the child she expects is not his.
