Bamse - Världens starkaste björn! (1972)

An animated series based on the comic strip character Bamse by Rune Andréasson, who had regularly appeared in newspapers since 1966. Bamse is an anthropomorphic brown bear who is somehow shorter than most of the characters which he encounters. He gains super strength by regularly eating thunder-honey (dunderhonung), a type of honey prepared for him by his grandmother. It simply causes stomach aches to nearly everyone else who tries eating it. Bamse uses his status as the world's strongest bear to go on adventures and to protect those in need. The regular supporting cast includes Bamse's girlfriend (and later wife) Brummelisa, the speedster rabbit Lille Skutt ("Little Hop"), the genius inventor tortoise Skalman, and the reformed criminal Vargen ("The Wolf"). The regular rogue's gallery includes the crooked businessman Krösus Sork ("Croesus Vole"), the pirate captain Kapten Buster ("Captain Buster") and his small crew, and the violent thugs Knocke and Smocke ("Knocker and Socke").
