A Gata Comeu (1985)

Despite having been engaged several times, Jô Penteado always ends her engagement with her suitors, Rafael Benavente, a theater actor, is her eighth fiancé and everyone is waiting for the wedding to finally happen. In the meantime, Professor Fábio, an honest and hard-working person who teaches at Urca, organizes a boat trip for his students. The boat is owned by Horácio Penteado, Jô's father. Some of his friends and Jô end up going on the excursion, but the boat breaks down and everyone ends up on a desert island. There, Jô and Fábio fight the whole time. Their hatred for each other grows with each passing moment. They are presumed dead and remain on the island for two months until they are rescued. Jô arrives from the excursion confused and ends up breaking off her engagement with Rafael. She discovers that she is in love with Fábio and does everything to win him over, even having to face Paula, his fiancée. She manages to prevent the two from getting married several times. A confusing love begins to blossom between the two and Gláucia, Jô's envious sister, does everything she can to get in their way.
