Manga sekai mukashi banashi (1976)

An anthology television series, adapting fairy tales, fables, legends with historical settings, classic novels , some of the plays of William Shakespeare, Greek epic poetry, and a few non-fiction biographical works. Some of the stories were told in story arcs which lasted for several episodes. The series featured 181 different stories from various eras.
