The Blackness (1961)

A family on holiday, somewhere in England, encounter a mysterious tramp who frightens them with his tales of a chemical compound that has polluted the local environment. The tramp always wears woolly gloves to hide his burnt hands. The children - brother and sister - resolve to unravel this mystery.
