A Senhora das Águas (2001)

The story unfolds in two different periods. The initial action follows three young individuals - Lucas, Mercês, and Simão - in 1967, leading us to the story's origin amid beautiful settings. Nine years later, in 1976, the course of their lives is presented in an atmosphere of doubts, misunderstandings, vows, and revenge, where the real and the fantastic intertwine. All events are closely accompanied by Ilda, the Lady of the Waters, a kind of spiritual guide inspired by biblical texts since childhood, faithfully committed to her mission of protecting love.
