Fang of the Sun Dougram (1981)

The colony planet Deloyer is under the administration of the Earth Federation, though part of its population seeks independence. The Governor Donan Cashim launches a coup d'état and sets himself up as an absolute dictator, with the Federation's support and approval. His regime soon faces guerrilla freedom fighters, who are using combat armors. Among the rebels is Crinn Cashim, the governor's estranged son. The civil war provides opportunity for political intrigue, with many shady characters switching sides during the conflict.
