Californication (2007)

A lot of nudity. There is both male and female nudity, and although it is not particularly sensitive (graphic/genital nudity not clear, and much less prevalent than breast and buttock nudity), much of it is still in a sexual context.

A man walks into a room with a fully nude teenage girl lying on bed. He proceeds to preform cunnilingus on her while fondling her breasts.

Sexual activity is depicted, however, explicit detail is not shown.

Contains infrequent violence throughout the course of the series. One episode contains moderate violence and depicts bloodshed. A few onscreen deaths, two overdoses and an accidental suicide. Some fist fights, often minimally bloody. An overdose is featured in which a character snorts heroin thinking it's cocaine, his nose bleeds and he collapses.

Frequent uses of cunt throughout

Frequent of "fuck", "cock", "shit", "piss", "bitch", "ass", "hell", "damn", as well as some religious and racial slurs.

Frequent alcohol consumption, often to excess. Frequent cigarette smoking. Frequent marijuana smoking. Frequent cocaine use. Some ecstasy use. One scene in which 2 characters take mushrooms and discuss the effects. One scene of accidental heroin snorting which leads to an overdose. Drugs are portrayed neutrally with both their positive and negative effects shown. Drug use is shown all seasons.

Characters can be seen drinking and smoking casually throughout the series.

Some characters smoke marijuana, drink strong alcohol and use other drugs.
