The Garden with the Statues (1981)

Against the backdrop of a small Greek village, a happy, tight-knit team of twelve wide-eyed kids, boys and girls, makes an exciting discovery during their summer vacations. As the cheery adventurers unearth not one but nine statues from a warm, sandy beach, a profound bond starts to form between the young archaeologists and the silent marble figures. However, the police have already informed the Greek Archaeological Service about the graceful statues, and all good things must come to an end. Indeed, one seemingly ordinary morning, someone breaks the news to the young fellows, confirming their worst fears. But life goes on, and sadness has no place in a child's innocent heart. After all, it was the best summer ever.
