Very strong, excessive language is used in every episode. The stronger words are all bleeped out on TV, but are not bleeped on the DVD version.

Many characters like to smoke and when they party, they consume a lot of alcohol resulting in some of them getting drunk.

In season 1 episodes 3 and 4 Snooki is physically assaulted by a patron at a bar. The scene cuts to black when he hits her and he is shown being escorted by the police. Snooki is on the floor crying and is shown being treated in the bathroom with blood on her lip. This can be triggering to victims of domestic violence
