Glamour... (1962)

Glamour was a light entertainment regional beauty contest produced by Anglia Television from 1962 - 1973. The format was similar to the Miss World and Miss Universe series which was a popular format at the time. The program consisted of a beauty pageant and light variety each week with various young women from areas of the Anglia region to ultimately find Miss Anglia awarding the winner with a cash prize. The program was padded by light variety in the form of songs from popular musicals and entertainers usually who had appeared at the 'Theatre Royal' Norwich which was always promoted on various programs during the years on other Anglia produced programmes.
