Strangers (1989)

Four Children Zane, Emma, Morgan and Kelsey discover a man, Ludo who is involved in a robbery prowling around one of the children's houses. They set a trap for him and then come to his aid by hiding him in their clubhouse. They take the name ZAN-EM-MOR-KEL (the first letters of each of their names)and form a "secret society" to solve a mystery which involves valuable stolen masks. Kelsey was deaf and communicated by sign language A 6 part series that aired on New Zealand television. Very suspenseful and a highlight of the NZ Kidult Genre.
