Jugni Chali Jalandhar (2009)

It is the love story of a London girl with a Punjabi boy. The girl, Jasmeet, is based in London and is a doctor by profession. She falls in love with Vicky, who is a Punjabi Munda at heart. Although they love each other, Vicky accepts the truth that his father would not allow this marriage to happen, so he leaves Jasmeet in London and comes back to his village, Jalandhar in Punjab. Jasmeet, who is mad in love, gets to understand the truth and takes a journey to Punjab just to please her future father-in-law. When Jasmeet enters Vicky's house, she finds that nobody is trying to accept her as bahu as she is a foreigner. Now, the only person in the family to understand her was Vicky's mother, who teaches her to do all kinds of household chores and transforms Dr. Jasmeet to Jugni, a simple village girl. Jugni enters the house of her father-in-law and impresses Vicky's father and gets married to Vicky. Now Vicky comes to know Jugni is Dr. Jasmeet and thinks his father would not accept her as bahu if he were to know that Jugni is Dr. Jasmeet Lamba. Hence, Vicky does not give her any rights of being his wife unless she pleases her dad. Jugni accepts this condition. Later, when Jugni's parents come to the house on their first wedding anniversary, they find that their daughter is not given the right of a wife still and wants to take back Jugni to London. Does she go back?
