Anthropologist Anna Kostina is indispensable in solving crimes where only bones or decomposed remains of the victim's body remained. Anna's partner is the senior investigator of the Special Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Dmitry Bogrov. Murder is not the only thing the protagonists have to deal with: they often face human vices, corruption, as well as unresolved issues from their own past and feelings that they cannot overcome.
